Christmas is over

Here are a few photos of the fun we had at Christmas.

Fallon contributed to the this Christmas by taking some pictures that will be added to the family album.

More pictures to follow, once I get some time (and find the camera) to download. Hope all is well and Hippy New Year.

Holiday Greeting

Let us give you a quick update of the 2005 happenings from the Becks:
  • Fallon, 5, started Kindergarten last September.  She’s doing great and loves it, although is glad to be on Holiday Break.  She likes horses and now has a stable of at least 10 of various sizes to play with.  She started 4-H as a ‘Clover Bud’ and looks forward to the projects we’ll be tackling there.  She’s starting a 7-week/every Saturday ski class Jan 7th; skiing away from Mom isn’t enough, she wants to blast by Dad, too!

  • Keagan, 2, is a ray of sunshine from the moment he wakes up.   He’s quite the ham and makes us all laugh.  He loves to make up words, sing, play with his diggers and trains, and play with his sister.  He enjoys the time in the morning when he has Dad to himself while Sissy is at school.

  • Mike is doing great and is still enjoys his role as ‘Stay at Home Dad’.  He continues to amaze all with his culinary skills, adding yogurt, granola, pickles, and home grown hops for his homebrew to his ‘home made’ list.  He did really well with his bike racing this year, finishing 6th overall in his category for the cyclocross season.  He signed up for his own epic event for 2006, planning to ride across the state of Iowa in one non-stop weekend, 337 miles in total.

  • Rene continues to ‘bring home the bacon’ but has changed from Business Development (pseudo sales) to Project Management and resource management for the 13-person office in Golden, still with Emerson Process Management (10+ years!).   She added a 120 mile bike ride over 3 mountain passes (The Triple Bypass) and a trail marathon in Breckenridge over Labor Day to her list of accomplishments this year.
All and all, things are great here in Lakewood.   We give thanks every day for our wonderful friends and family who provide us so much support and make us who we are.  We are truly blessed on many accounts as we bring another year to a close.    We wish all of you and yours happiness in 2006!

Trimming the tree

Yesterday was spent braving the 95 mph winds with Keagan to retrieve a tree. Keagan did not like the blustery day, but he did pick a good tree. The family gathered together with some Christmas music and cookies to decorate the tree.

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas
